Workshop started for bamboo furniture

I didnt updated blog for a long time after domloor franchisee intiative.

Bamboopecker Lifestyle Crafts Pvt Ltd is my dream venture, started dreaming about this project 14 year back. Now our production unit is up. And we have 8 member team for furniture, crafts and cane works.

When i planned to start own workshop searched for a suitable place in yeshwantpur, bangalore. But didnt got and some is not suitable becz of distance, raw material transportation, water probs, rent and all. Finally I got a vacant land here in CV Raman nagar, which is very near to my home where i am staying here in bangalore.

Its 3000 sq feet area in that we taken 2500 sq feet. Then I got one Architect student Mr saran. He adviced me to go for the construction by using bamboo. Faced so much difficulties while using new material. Lack of trained people is the main prob i faced during the construction period.

I am not going deep to my troubles and probs which faced during the construction. Now We have 8 member team for production. One Mr Stephen ( he is the key person and by seeing him 14 years back only i started dreaming this project). He is specialized in bamboo crafts and weaving products in bamboo. He is master in bamboo crafts.

Mr Renju and Mr Renjith from trivandrum and got training from NID agarthala and ahmedabad. Both specialised in Bamboo furntiure, bamboo furniture means its not the designs we are traditionally seeing for bamboo.

Vision of Bamboopecker

I am a young entrepreneur. Bamboopecker is a young and honest enterprise. What keeps me going in spite of a lot of stumbling blocks is the fact that I got into this to make a difference to at least 100 families to begin with. I realise that doing things in small scale does not create a big impact. Also doing business for loss is a drain of everyone's time. So my struggle has been to create something out of nothing and yet make enough margins to keep my network of craftsmen happy.

In my journey I have also learnt a lot about Bamboo. The struggle is worthwhile when I see the smiles in the face of the craftsmen and my customer.
